Masjid Al Nur, the centered Mosque, built in the year (date) located in the Jumhooree magu, regarded as the most historically significant structures in the Island, also previously known as old ‘Anhenunge Miskiy’ in which was said to be built as the praying hall for females only before it was transformed for a male leading mosque.The historical transformation was taken place together with the ‘Anhenunge Miskiy’ located on the other end of the Island as a ‘competitive activity’ held between female citizens living in both ends of the Island.The Majestic structure, sufficient for 300 worshippers at a time, has been constructed in a classic Islamic style, using modern tiling with beautiful woodworks.
